BRIGGS — A Copperas Cove woman died at the scene of a collision between her car and an 18-wheeler on U.S. 183 on May 28, according to a Texas Department of Public Safety report.

LLANO — Watching runoff from rain pour over structures such as the Llano River Dam on Memorial Day provided some relief from the drought; however, unless the wet weather trend continues, the rise could become short-lived, officials say.

MARBLE FALLS — At first, it sounded like an exciting day for one Walgreens customer as she shared with the checkout person her good fortune. She told the employee how she had won a new car and only had to pay a $500 fee for tax, title and license to get it.
