MARBLE FALLS — Downtown Marble Falls restaurant Houston’s Depot is open again after an early morning electrical fire March 25 forced it to close for more than a month.

BURNET — Voters across Burnet County chose new faces and picked a few familiar ones for local councils and school boards.

One of the most recognizable faces on the Granite Shoals city council is on the way back. Last year, Shirley King had to step down from the council due to term limits. MARBLE FALLS — Marble Falls voters raised their glasses for a toast May 10 after passing a local option that allows the expansion of alcohol sales inside the city limits.

MARBLE FALLS — On its second time before voters, a $6.5 million bond proposition passed, opening the door to added technology and the expansion of career and technology programs for the Marble Falls Independent School District.

SUNRISE BEACH — Incumbent Mayor Pat Frain will maintain her leadership role with the city of Sunrise Beach after her wide-margin defeat of challenger and councilman Lou Henson, according to unofficial election results posted May 10.
