MARBLE FALLS — The Marble Falls City Council voted April 22 to end its contract with City Manager Ralph Hendricks and officially let him go.

“It was a tough decision,” Mayor George Russell said. “As a council member, you have a compassionate heart, but you also have your fiduciary responsibilities, and, sometimes, those don’t always mesh. BERTRAM — Bertram city secretary Evan Milliorn is returning home.

After about 3½ years, Milliorn is resigning from his job in Bertram to become assistant director of administrative services for the city of Burnet.

MARBLE FALLS — The HITS Triathlon series hits the road and Lake Marble Falls on April 25-27, but only two days — Saturday and Sunday — are scheduled for racing.

The HITS Triathlon holds events across the country as participants earn points in the overall standings or just compete in one event. BURNET — Burnet school officials found themselves evacuating the Burnet Middle School again April 18 after finding another “non-specific” bomb threat in a bathroom.

The school was evacuated around 10:30 a.m.

MARBLE FALLS — Power was restored to much of Marble Falls and Meadowlakes about 7:40 a.m. April 15 after an outage.

BURNET — Burnet Middle School students returned to school about 3 p.m. April 14 after a second bomb threat in less than a week.

BURNET — An “all-clear” has been issued for Burnet Middle School by the Burnet Police Department.
