BURNET — The annual Christmas on the Square is right around the corner, and the Burnet Chamber of Commerce is inviting businesses, organizations and families to join in the fun on several different levels.

Christmas on the Square is Dec. 13 and includes lots of activities, including vendors and the annual Christmas parade. KINGSLAND — When Kathy Stephenson and her sister-in-law, Melinda Stephenson, decided to go into business together with a vintage and antique shop called Sister’s, they never looked beyond Kingsland.

BURNET — In a game many thought would decide the District 13-4A Division I championship, the Burnet High School football steamrolled Waco Robinson 45-23 on Oct. 17.

SPICEWOOD — When Marvin Alcorn went back into his neighbor’s condo and found the disabled man’s cat in a bedroom, he realized he had little time.

LLANO — Wet weather could be to blame in a one-vehicle rollover Nov. 21 that killed a Nolanville man on Texas 29 in Llano County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Two days later, a Burnet man died in an accident involving a motorcycle on the same stretch of roadway.
