Burnet County 4-H shooters competing in rifle prone championship at Copperhead Creek

MARBLE FALLS — Four Burnet County 4-H members are competing in the Rifle Prone State Championship on Oct. 26-27 at Copperhead Creek Shooting Club.

The competition begins at 9 a.m. each day at the range that is located at Hidden Falls Adventure Park, 7030 RR 1431 East.

Local shooters competing in the event are Burnet County 4-H Club members Bryar Atkinson, Katelyn Hensley, Alex DeFily and Makenzie Boop. Their coach is Guy Taylor.

The event is free. A total of 25 shooters will compete for the chance to advance to the national tournament at Camp Perry, Ohio, in July 2014.
