BURNET — A couple of scams targeting gas customers have Burnet police and officials asking residents to be vigilant if somebody calls them over the phone demanding payment.

BURNET — Burnet Consolidated Independent School District officials informed the board of trustees they’ll save some bond money, which means a saving for taxpayers.

Car fire in Marble FallsA Marble Falls Fire Rescue crew member makes sure a fire that destroyed this car is out. The fire crew and Marble Falls police responded to the car fire about 4:30 p.m. Jan. 28 near the intersection of RR 1431 and Avenue U. Firefighters extinguished the blaze. KINGSLAND — The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department is investigating the cause of a boat crash into a dock on Lake LBJ on Jan. 28.
