MARBLE FALLS — The city of Marble Falls plans on saving 290,000 gallons of potable water thanks to efforts by staff and the parks department to use treated effluent on parks and ballfields.

MARBLE FALLS — The City Council gave a thumbs up March 19 to extending Main Street to Lakeside Park.

Marble Falls City Manager Ralph Hendricks said the council awarded a bid of $308,000 to SK Nelson to make improvements to the portion of Main Street south of Yett Avenue.

MARBLE FALLS — The March 17 implosion of the 77-year-old U.S. 281 bridge was not the end of work on the structure.

Two concrete piers in Lake Marble Falls remain to be demolished. Officials said that could happen sometime in the next two weeks.
