MARBLE FALLS — A grandfather and his granddaughter had a fright May 11 at Mayfest when the Ferris wheel basket in which they were riding became hung up and left them almost dangling upside down until Marble Falls Fire Rescue crews arrived and rescued them.

MARBLE FALLS — The Marble Falls city pool will open May 11, officially kicking off the summer season.

During its May 6 meeting, the Marble Falls Parks and Recreation Commission took a look at what the city spends on the pool, 305 Buena Vista Drive. Since 2009, the city has spent $105,800 on the facility including $45,000 for resurfacing and deck repairs.
