BURNET — When 14-year-old Brailey Hall and 16-year-old Hannah Smith and Vanessa Escamilla walked into the hospital room, the first thing they saw was a sleeping child and her grateful mother.

MARBLE FALLS — A dominating first half propelled the Marble Falls High School football team to a 40-7 win against Boerne High on Sept. 12.

In six first-half possessions, the Mustangs (2-1) scored five touchdowns. Meanwhile, the Marble Falls defense was just as dominant. MARBLE FALLS — All Angela Kleb knew was that her stomach bothered her. She noticed her navel had extended a bit, but it didn’t really worry her.

After all, the Marble Falls resident was a young and seemingly healthy 21-year-old animal science student at Texas A&M University with aims of veterinarian school.
