HOOVER’S VALLEY — Classes on using native fibers and cooking with dutch ovens highlight the January activities at Inks Lake State Park.

The native fibers workshop is 1-3 p.m. Jan. 17. Participants will learn how to make paper using a portable Hollander beater attached to a bicycle. The workshop also will cover native and non-native plants of the region. It is open to the first 30 people to register at the park headquarters and free with park entrance fees.
