MARBLE FALLS — For almost a year, Samantha Suarez would stop at Avenue M and Third Street and say a prayer, asking God to find it in his will to make the property her family’s.

MARBLE FALLS — Nearly half a decade has passed since the first announcements of a string of multimillion-dollar housing and commercial developments hit the Highland Lakes.

MARBLE FALLS — The Highland Lakes Tea Party Coalition hopes to bounce back during its “Memorial Day Tea Party Honoring God and Country” outdoor gathering Monday.

MARBLE FALLS — Even if it’s an emergency, callers need to stay on the phone long enough for the 911 operator to take down vital information.

That’s the word this week from police, who want residents to understand how the 911 emergency call-system works and why dispatchers ask so many personal questions.

The Kingsland House of Arts and Crafts presents its crafter of the month, Dorothy Book. Her paintings in oil and acrylic are at the shop, 112 Chamberlain St. behind Wells Fargo Bank in Kingsland. LLANO — Democratic gubernatorial candidate Bill White is set to appear at Llano’s Robinson Park Pavilion during a campaign stop 2-5 p.m. May 29.

The park is located off FM 152, 2 miles west of the Llano County Courthouse.
