MIDDLE SCHOOL CROSS COUNTRY: Marble Falls at Lometa Meet
LOMETA — The Marble Falls Middle School cross-country teams placed in the top two of both divisions at the recent Lometa Meet. The girls won the event with 20 points, while the boys finished second with 60 points.
“Several runners remembered to take advantage of their opponents on the downhills and worked some on surging at the appropriate time,” coach Karen Naumann said. “The team came together with a very strong kick to finish the race together as a team.”

QUOTABLE: “The course consisted of grass, uneven ground rocks and small inclines as well as a very long incline right before the finish. The runners improved tremendously on their running form and staying together as a pack,” coach Karen Naumann said.
