Marble Falls cross-country teams win varsity divisions at Fredericksburg Invitational

FREDERICKSBURG — Even the rain couldn’t keep the Mustangs from having a record day. Both varsity teams won their second straight meet Sept. 29.
The boys varsity scored 42 points, while the girls had a total of 36 points.

Both varsity squads also won their own Marble Falls Invitational on Sept. 22. In addition, junior varsity runners Cody Skipper and Nydia Castro came in first in the boys and girls junior varsity divisions, respectively.

NOTABLE: The Lady Mustangs varsity team placed second at the Burnet High School Cross-Country Relays to begin the season, its worst finish in 2012.
