Marble Falls team tennis squad beats Dripping Springs in district action

MARBLE FALLS — Needing a District 25-4A victory, the Mustangs got it by crushing the Tigers for the second consecutive season 10-5. Marble Falls earned wins in Nos. 1, 2, 3 and 4 singles, 3 and 4 girls singles and in four of the seven doubles matches.

RESULTS: Boys — (singles) Mike Stripling won 6-3, 6-1; Michael Holder won 6-2, 6-2; Liam Baskin won 6-0, 6-1; and Jason Rogers won 6-4, 6-3; (doubles) Stripling/ Holder won 6-0, 6-1, Baskin/Baskin lost 1-6, 3-6; Baxter/Tackitt won 6-4, 7-5. Girls (singles) — Madison Dyer lost 3-6, 7-6 (5-7); Hannah Dockery lost 4-6, 3-6; Mattie Cryer won 6-3, 6-2; Kelsey McCasland won 7-5, 7-5; (doubles) Dyer/McCasland lost 0-6, 2-6; Cryer/Dockery won 6-2, 7-6 (7-4); Harrison/Parten lost 3-6, 3-6. Mixed doubles — McCannon/Baxter 7-5, 5-7, 10-5
