Mustang runner sets personal best at region
HIGH SCHOOL CROSS COUNTRY
SAN ANTONIO — Mustang cross-country runner Sarah Stripling set another personal record in her first appearance at the Class 4A Region IV Meet on Nov. 5.
Her time was 12 minutes 12 seconds. Her previous best was 12:22.
“She ran a tremendous race,” head coach Anthony Torns said. “She was the sixth runner from our district to finish. The last half-mile, she passed five girls.”
This region proved yet again why it’s the best in the state for cross country, Torns said.
The top 10 runners all finished in under 11:40.
