Putters and Gutters, a family entertainment center in Marble Falls, is under new ownership. The new owners are planning on a name change, a makeover, new equipment, and a boost to the live music schedule as soon as possible.

Located at 4100 N. U.S. 281 in Marble Falls, Putters and Gutters opened its doors in 2022, bringing an arcade, skate rink, bowling lanes, miniature golf, concerts, and more to the city. There is another location in Lampasas, that has been open since 2017, that was also put up for sale.

According to one of the new owners, Jeff Buch, of Austin, he and his business partners closed on the fun center on Friday, July 31, after the previous owner Roy Cockrell put both Putters and Gutters locations on the market. 

“We’re hoping to take on the legacy that (Cockrell) started and improve upon it,” Buch told DailyTrib. 

All of the current amenities will likely stay in place, and be improved upon. He added that much of the regular staff and leadership will be kept onboard.

“We’ve been here for a month, just trying to see what we have, and quite frankly a lot of the ideas are coming from the people who have worked here for the last 9 years,” he said. “The people who are going to run this and do it day to day are all local people.”

Buch and his partners plan on revamping the Putters and Gutters bar into a sports bar/restaurant, with an emphasis on big screens for big games. 

The new owners also hope to rename the business soon, and want to get the community involved in that process. 

“We don’t know what we’re changing it to, but we’re going to run a contest,” Buch said.

Buch also said that he plans on having regular concerts and live music, with a consistent schedule that includes local and larger acts.
