The Jackson Street Jams concert series returns to the Burnet courthouse square for a new and expanded season Saturday, March 22. The opening night performance features country music veteran Moe Bandy and special guest Wade Hayes.
Shows are free and continue most months into September.
The series is organized by the Burnet Community Coalition, a partnership between the city of Burnet, Burnet Economic Development Corp., Burnet Chamber of Commerce, and Burnet County Tourism.
The Saturday concert starts at 7 p.m. with the opening act followed by Bandy at 8:30 p.m. Food trucks will open at 6 p.m. The event wraps up around 10 p.m.
To accommodate the event, Main, Jackson, and Pierce streets will close at 2:30 p.m. Vehicles parked on those streets will need to be moved by 4 p.m. Public parking is available on East Jackson just off the square, with additional street parking nearby.
Attendees are allowed to bring coolers. Bottled water will be available for free, and beer and wine will be sold at local businesses.
Some downtown businesses staying open later than usual for the event include The Vintage Gypsy, Sooo Yummy Bakery, Fratelli Pizza, Trailblazer Grille, Mad Hatters Provisions, Joyologie, Burnet Antique Mall, and several more. Click the link for a full list.
