Jason Boland, Cory Morrow headline Project 316 concert
Country music artists Jason Boland and Cory Morrow will perform at the fourth annual Project 316 benefit concert on Saturday, Oct. 7, at Haley-Nelson Park, 200 Garden Trail Drive in Burnet. The park opens to the public at 5 p.m.; music begins at 6 p.m.
Project 316 helps first responders, correctional officers, and dispatchers and their families who have fallen on hard times by providing financial and emotional support.
Cristina Meza founded the nonprofit in 2020 to pay tribute to her husband, Jose, who passed away from a heart attack in December 2019. He was a patrol officer and K9 handler for the Burnet Police Department. His badge number was 316.
Admission is $30 for ages 13 and older and $10 for ages 12 and younger. Tickets can be purchased online.
A $75 VIP option includes front-stage access, meet-and-greets with the two performers, private restrooms, and Project 316 merchandise.
Coolers are permitted. Concert-goers are encouraged to bring their own drinks, lawn chairs, and blankets. Glass containers are prohibited. Food trucks will be on site.
All proceeds from the concert will benefit Project 316.
