BURNET — On Aug. 28, cross-county rivals the Burnet Bulldogs and the Marble Falls Mustangs square off against each other on the football field.

While the game doesn’t impact district standings and who makes the playoffs, it’s a big contest for the fans, the teams and the alumni.

The teams will be playing at the recently renovated Bulldog Field, which is located behind the Burnet Middle School, 1401 N. Main St. in Burnet. You can find parking in front of the middle school complex or off Third Street on the north side of the campus.

If you’re out of town or can’t make the game, you can tune in to Ben Shields and Mark Edmonson on KBEY 103.9 FM Radio Picayune for complete live coverage and play-by-play action.

The pregame show starts at 6:30 p.m. with a team-by-team look at the week’s contests before going live at 7 p.m.

If you’re out of radio range or at home, you can also listen to the games live at KBEYFM.com. Just click on the football tab at the top of the page and pick “Marble Falls Mustangs” or “Burnet Bulldogs” and then click on “Listen Live.” You can even download the KBEY app from the website and stream the games — as well as KBEY — through your smartphone.

And starting Sept. 4, tune in to the Burnet games on 106.5 FM powered by KBEY.

So no matter where you are in the world, you’ll always have Bulldog and Mustang football within reach.
