"We played really well in a very hectic week," head coach Jerry English said. "With the end of the semester, finals, a late start at 8 p.m. and a long drive, I think we just wanted a release and some fun time together."

Junior post Kristen Cherry dropped in 13 points, which prompted English to say how much he enjoyed watching her play.

"Our whole team played well, but I thought it was the best game Kristen Cherry played this season," he said.

Most of her points came when she drove to the basket. English said the use of a blocking dummy during practice has helped her finish plays.
