Marble Falls loses to Wimberley in team tennis

Wimberley 10, Marble Falls 9

MARBLE FALLS — The Mustangs kept it close Sept. 26 but couldn’t win enough matches for the overall team total against the Texans.

Still, spectators found the shade over the walkway at the high school tennis courts enjoyable, according to assistant coach Hilary McCasland.

The tennis team thanks Jo Lynn Dyer, who sponsored a court sign, the Marble Falls Athletic Booster Club and athletic director Todd Dodge for addressing the need, McCasland said. The middle portion of the walkway will have a metal shade, and the next fundraiser will go toward that project, she said.

RESULTS: Boys singles— Mike Stripling lost 6-8; Michael Holder lost 2-8; Jared Edwards lost 0-8; Liam Baskin lost 4-8; Jason Rogers lost 4-8; Daniel Baxter lost 4-8.
