Leonel Manzano picking up the pace before Olympic Trials

AUSTIN — The start of the men’s 1,500 meters of the U.S. Track and Field Olympic Trials are still three weeks away.

But Marble Falls High School alumnus Leonel Manzano has not been resting.

He is fresh off running the mile in 3 minutes, 53.07 seconds at the Prefontaine Classic on June 2, his season best in that event, to finish 12th. The time is equal to 3:35 in the 1,500 meters, Manzano said.
