WACO — No matter how Faith Academy girls track and field head coach Steve McCannon calculated, he knew the Class 2A state title of the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools would come down to the final event of the day, the 4×400-meter relay.

And it did.

Muenster Sacred Heart won the event by .07 seconds to claim the state title. Faith, which was within a handful of points, was seventh in the relay for a fourth-place team finish.
