Strong winds slow Marble Falls athletes at regional track meet; Cody Schulz qualifies for state

SAN ANTONIO — After finishing second in the long jump in the Class 4A Region IV track-and-field meet April 27 and qualifying for state, Marble Falls High School junior Cody Schulz was hoping to do the same in the 100- and 200-meter races. Instead, he finished as the first alternate in the 100 and the second alternate in the 200.

“If we weren’t running into the wind, I’d have beaten them,” he said. “Everyone else had me beat by 30 pounds.”
