WACO — The Faith Academy girls tennis team makes winning a state title look easy.

The Lady Flames captured their third straight Class 2A state championship April 26, their fifth overall in the program’s history, with 23 points in the overall standings at the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools tournament. Denton Calvary was second with 17 points.

The boys team tied for third, but because of the 48-41 games-won tiebreaker, the Flames were fourth with 9.5 points behind Dallas Fairhill. Kerrville Our Lady of the Hills won the state title with 13.5 points.
