Faith boys place 5th at Troy Relays
Faith Academy boys, 5th out of 12 teams at Troy Relays, 47 points
TROY — The Faith Academy boys track and field team recently placed fifth with 47 points at the Troy Relays.
Coach Russ Roberts was pleased with the way the Flames competed, particularly the relay teams. The 4×400-meter relay team of seniors Casey Clendennen and J.C. Perea and juniors Brian Freeman and Jake Diamond took third in 3 minutes 47.71 seconds at the meet. The team previously turned in a time of 3 minutes 45 seconds, their second fastest time in the past 12 months.
RESULTS: 200: Brian Freeman, 24.15, 5th, Royale Brown, 24.54, 6th; 4×200-meter relay (Michael Masterson, Brown, Casey Clendennen, Freeman), 1:36.84, 3rd; 4×400 relay (J.C. Perea, Jake Diamond, Freeman, Clendennen), 3:47.71, 3rd; long jump: Jason Byrd, 18-5.75, 2nd; triple jump: Freeman, 36-3.75, 5th; pole vault: Diamond, 11-6, 4th.
