Ex-Mustang Leonel Manzano heads to higher ground to train for 2012 Olympics

SAN LUIS POTOSI, Mexico — U.S. Olympian Leonel Manzano is preparing for another run toward a spot on the London Olympic team.

And the former Mustang believes 2012 will be better than 2008, when he was a semifinalist in the 1,500 meters.

To help him prepare for the U.S. Olympic Trials, which will again be in Eugene, Ore., June 28-July 1, Manzano has been training in high altitude with the Austin Track Club.
