MARBLE FALLS — The Marble Falls city pool is being repaired to make the pool safer for swimmers.

The entire deck is being resurfaced, lifeguard stands will have new studs to better hold them in place and a metal door will be installed on the pump room because the old one was corroded.

“The chlorine and chemicals were corroding it,” Parks and Recreation Director Robert Moss said. “They were getting eaten away. Those metal doors had to be replaced. A new deck surface is being put in to keep people from slipping. That surface has been peeling up.”

Total cost of the work is $17,000.

Moss said the money is coming from the Capital Improvement Project.
