MARBLE FALLS — The Highland Lakes Track Club will host three meets in the next two weeks for runners of all ages.

The first is the South Texas Association Meet, which is part of United States Track and Field, 8 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5.

“An association meet is like a district meet,” coach Steve McCannon said. “It’s a smaller meet. The top 20 from each race will advance to the regional meet.”

The second is the Region 12 Meet, also part of USA Track and Field, 8:45 a.m. Nov. 19.

The last meet is the Manzano 5K run, named after U.S. Olympic runner and Marble Falls High School graduate Leonel Manzano. The run begins 8 a.m. Nov. 19.

“The regional meet is for the older kids right down to the younger kids,” McCannon said. “Anyone can run in the Manzano 5K.”
