SALADO — The Burnet High School cross-country teams got their first glimpse of the District 25-3A course Sept. 24 when the Bulldogs competed in the Salado Invitational at Tenroc Ranch.

“This was a great chance for the runners to preview the course and most of the teams from our district,” head coach Stuart Dixon said.

Both the boys and girls teams finished last in the competition.

Burnet will compete at the Round Rock McNeil Invitational at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock on Oct. 1 where the Class 3A state cross-country meet will be conducted.

• Girls results (2 miles): 10, Kathryn Drake, 13:52; 32, Autumn Freasier, 15:09; 37, Makayla Adair, 15:48; 43, Rachel Adair, 17:45; 44, Blake Skoog, 18:22.

• Boys results (5K): 14, Humberto Mejia, 19:00; 31, Joe Parker, 20:54; 33, Fernando Mejia, 21:15; 34, Caleb Cardozo, 21:22; 40, Aaron Barnes, 22:42; 44, Frederick Schmidt, 24:43.
