MARBLE FALLS — Superintendents of Class 4A and 5A high schools — including Marble Falls — are being urged by the Texas Tennis Coaches Association to support sending more squads to the fall team tennis playoffs.

The TTCA emails ask coaches to encourage their superintendents to vote yes on the issue when they answer an upcoming survey sent by the University Interscholastic League.

It could mean more teams are added to the playoffs, officials said.

The UIL governs the rules of Texas public school sports and extracurricular competitions.

Marble Falls High School head tennis coach David McDonald asked athletic director Cord Woerner to speak to Superintendent  Rob O’Connor about supporting the initiative.
