MARBLE FALLS — The second meet of the Summer Track Series presented by the Smoking Wings of Eagles Track Club drew about 40 competitors, which pleased director Anthony Torns.

The event, at Pony Stadium on June 25, drew more elementary-age athletes than middle school and high school students.

“It was a pretty good turnout,” Torns said. “The numbers were a lot less because of the U.S. Track and Field (Association) Meet in Round Rock. We didn’t get many kids 13 and up. That’s what brought our numbers down.”
