A pickup truck made its way over the Kingsland Slab low-water crossing when it was open. However, Llano County Sheriff Bill Blackburn is warning drivers who don’t heed low-water barricades when officials close the Slab due to high water. If drivers go around the barricades and attempt to cross the Kingsland Slab, deputies will arrest them. State law makes going around low-water barricades a misdemeanor offense.
