Spicewood Elementary School heads for the presses

About 20 students have joined the newspaper-yearbook club to help with the two campus publications. Sponsors said the first edition should hit the halls in late January.

Burnet couple celebrating 76 years of marriage

Marie and Barney Warwick enjoy an anniversary party at the Oaks Nursing home in Burnet Wednesday. The couple will celebrate 76 years of marriage Dec. 18. They met at a party in Bertram but it was almost a year later they saw each other again. Since then, they’ve hardly been apart.
