Bulldogs end predistrict with win; open district against Lampasas
BURNET — The Burnet High School boys basketball team ended its predistrict schedule with a 65-45 victory against Austin St. Andrew’s on Jan. 9.
The Bulldogs took a 42-37 lead into the final quarter.
But Burnet exploded for 23 points to cruise to the victory.
Senior guard Grant Cole, an all-region selection a year ago, dropped in 30 points, while junior forward Jordan Barnard followed with 14 points.
Burnet starts District 25-3A play at home against Lampasas 8 p.m. Jan. 13 at The Doghouse, 1000 The Green Mile.
