Faith Academy athletes earn all-state honors

MARBLE FALLS — Fourteen Faith Academy of Marble Falls athletes earned all-state recognition from the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools.
All-state tennis players include Ashley Stallard and Nicole Johnson, the girls singles state champion and runner-up.
Savannah Still and Sarah Mason Thomas earned the all-state honor by capturing the state title in girls doubles.
Track athletes also received all-state honors.

Named to the first team were Jordan Gray for winning the 100-meter and 300-meter hurdles and the shot put; Brooke Field and Jake Diamond for winning the discus state championship; and Jake Diamond for earning gold in the pole vault.
Second team all-state members include Taylor Vaughn for finishing second in the pole vault and Dylan Robichaux for being the runner-up in the discus and shot put.
Bailey Brinkley was honorable mention for capturing third in the high jump.
Only juniors and seniors with an accumulative grade-point average of 90 and above and who qualified for state meets or tournaments are eligible for academic all-state.
They include golfer Beth Ann Berkman; tennis players Jonelle Frazier and Tyler Cantlon; and track athletes Tori Diamond, Field, Gray and Vaughn.
