Verla Oglesby Kattner, 72, of Kingsland dies Sept. 26, 2014
Verla “Beth” Oglesby Kattner, 72, passed away Sept. 26, 2014, in Kingsland, Texas. She was born Feb. 10, 1942, in Hamilton, Texas, to J.R. and Ada Mae Oglesby.
She loved working in the yard and swimming. Beth was a beautician for 34-plus years and a member of Highland Lakes Church of Christ in Kingsland.
Beth is survived by her husband, Henry Kattner of Kingsland; sons, Richard C. Kattner and wife Kayla of Edna and John W. Stradley and wife Lillie of Louisana; sisters, Penny Grimes and husband Steve of Brazoria and Kay Page of Angleton; grandsons, Hagen Kattner and John William Stradley Jr.; granddaughter Jamie Vermuvez; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter Cheryl Stradley; brother-in-law Raymond Page; and niece Beverly K. Vetter.
A funeral service was Sept. 29 at Highland Lakes Church of Christ in Kingsland. A graveside service was Sept. 30 at Angleton Cemetery.
