The Delaware Springs Golf Course in Burnet recently increased its standard green fees and cart fees by $1 to reflect growing demand, and established a new “replay rate” for visitors looking to get in another swing.

The changes, approved by the Burnet City Council during a Tuesday, Aug. 11, meeting, will take effect on Oct. 1.

The new green and cart fees are as follows:

• 18-hole weekday fee, $39
• 18-hole weekend/holiday fee, $54
• 18-hole cart fee, $21 per person
• 9-hole weekday fee, $23
• 9-hole weekend/holiday fee, $31
• 9-hole cart free, $18 per person

The newly-established replay rate will allow players to add an additional round of up to 18 holes of play for $15, with a $20 cart fee. The replay round must be played by the same player on the same day of completing their first 18-hold round.

Some tweaks were also made to the course’s holiday and dynamic pricing, which establish fluctuating pricing during low and high-demand periods. Previously, the course could only employ dynamic pricing during city-recognized holidays, however the changes added state and federally-recognized holidays to that list.

Holiday and dynamic pricing at Delaware Springs was adopted by the council in a previous meeting this year on Feb. 26, where a similar price increase was also established.

Delaware Springs General Manager Tony Nash highlighted the course’s continued success to the council, noting that many visitors from outside the area have relished in its cheaper pricing and quicker play times compared to other courses.

“(Visitors from out of town) have said that it’s much cheaper than Austin,” he said. “They can drive up to Delaware Springs, eat a hamburger, play 18 holes, and then be back home in the same amount of time that they would have played the golf course next to their house. We’re doing good.”
