The Hill Country Community Theatre is casting its holiday production of “It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play.” Auditions are 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, and 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 17, at the nonprofit theater, 4003 FM 2147 West in Cottonwood Shores.

Those trying out will read from a script, possibly more than once with other actors. They must be able to create different-sounding voices for various characters. Actors will have scripts to reference during live shows as the production is performed like a live radio broadcast from the 1940s. The theater is also casting four women as studio singers for live commercial jingles.

Director Kärin Fraiser will bring Frank Capra’s iconic film to life on the HCCT stage. Performances are Friday-Sunday, Dec. 1-17.
