CASA for the Highland Lakes Area is holding an informative question-and-answer session on Wednesday, Sept. 6, from 9:30-11 a.m. at Fuel Coffee House, 106 E. Main St. in Llano.
CASA is a nonprofit organization that recruits, trains, and supervises court-appointed volunteers to advocate for children working their way through the court system as a result of abuse or neglect. CASA for the Highland Lakes Area advocates for more than 2,000 children in Llano, Burnet, Blanco, Lampasas, and San Saba counties.
Wednesday’s meeting will be a casual, come-and-go event for those interested in becoming court-appointed special advocates.
