A 58-year-old Burnet woman pleaded guilty to murder on Sept. 7 in the 2022 drunk driving death of a 21-year-old Bertram man. Nila Louise Glimp was sentenced to 23 years in prison by Judge Donna King in a 26th Judicial District courtroom in Williamson County.
On April 2, 2022, Glimp was traveling on Texas 29 about 3 miles northwest of Liberty Hill when she struck a vehicle being driven in the opposite direction by Kevin Scott Beall. Texas Department of Public Safety officers measured Glimp’s blood-alcohol level at 0.09, which is over the 0.08 legal limit for Texas drivers.
Glimp was originally charged with intoxication manslaughter, a second-degree felony. The charge was bumped up to first-degree felony murder due to her past convictions of driving while intoxicated. She pleaded guilty to DWI in March 2004 in Williamson County and June 2015 in Burnet County.

She sure does not look very remorseful in that picture, she took someones life and a young person at that they had their whole life ahead of them and I dont think a smile is appropriate. My prayers go out to the family who lost their loved one
