Stephen David Donahue Sr. of Kingsland passed away May 11, 2021

Steve Donahue passed away at his home in Kingsland, Texas, on Tuesday, May 11, 2021, after a lengthy illness. He was born on July 4, 1955, to William “Bill” Francis Donahue and Barbara Jane Guess Donahue at Bergstrom Air Force Base in Austin.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bill; mother, Barbara; brother Terry; sister, Sandy; and previous wife, Carol Reese Donahue.
He is survived by his wife, Marsha Kay Donahue, and daughter, Sharon Lee Sanderson-Winnett, her husband Jonathan Winnett, and their three children, Blane, Austin, and Cain, all of Burnet.
He is also survived by his son, Steven Jr. of Kingsland; step-daughter, Wendy Rhoades of Llano; and brother Mark and wife Patti of Marana, Arizona. He has numerous other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews in Alabama and Arizona.
Steve worked at many jobs, including underground mining and construction, before becoming employed at Granite Mountain in Marble Falls, where he worked for more than 30 years for the Texas Granite companies, mostly as a stone cutter.
Steve will be remembered as a hard worker and for his enormous love and devotion to his family. He will be greatly missed by them and many friends.
Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life for Steve at his home, 125 Flyway Drive in Kingsland, on Saturday, June 5, from noon to 6 p.m. Please come and share your stories and memories of him.
