Jean Louise Bode, a resident of Llano, Texas, since 1951, passed away July 3, 2019, in Kingsland at the age of 95.
She was born on October 1, 1923, to Otis Charles Livengood and Lydia Vivian Sadler Livengood in Walensburg, Colorado. Her adolescent years were spent in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Jean held various jobs in her life, including a secretarial position at Farm Bureau, but her primary occupation was that of a loving wife and mother to her three daughters and six grandchildren. She was married to Iven “Buster” Bode on April 4, 1948, in Clovis, New Mexico. Her married life was spent in Llano, vacationing often in Ruidoso, New Mexico.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Buster, daughter Eddie Jean Robinson, and her parents.
Survivors include her daughters Linda Kay Walters of Johnson City and Sharon Bruner of Llano; sister Louise Stuto of Santa Fe; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be Thursday, July 11, at 10 AM at Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home in Llano with Pastor Johnny Sawyer officiating. Interment will follow at Llano City Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 10, from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
Pallbearers include Michael Walters, Robert Inks, Kelly Northcutt, Kearsen Erwin, Andrew Sheehan, and Blake Hewett.
