FROM STAFF REPORTS

MARBLE FALLS — Striping on the newly surfaced Avenue N from Broadway to RR 1431 was completed June 23.

Signage is needed before the road opens again to traffic, which should occur sometime the week of June 27, according to Marble Falls Public Works director Perry Malkemus.

Stop signs will be placed at the four-way stop at the intersection of Broadway and Avenue N on June 24, Malkemus said.

Signal lights next need to be installed at the intersection of Avenue N and RR 1431. Until that happens, turns onto RR 1431 from Avenue N and Bluebonnet Drive will be right only.

Avenue N was realigned starting in March to move it directly across from Bluebonnet Drive. City officials have said the changing of the road’s alignment will allow for better traffic efficiency near H-E-B as it expands and other businesses are built.

  1. I will avoid that intersection at all costs. I cannot imagine a 4 way stop sign on 1431. What are they thinking?

    1. They are supposed to be having tx dot install new traffic control lights where it intersects and then take the old ones down.
