OBITUARY: Eugene Eston Butler, 91, of Burnet dies Nov. 21, 2013
Eugene Eston Butler, 91, was born Oct. 8, 1922, in Dallas to Omnis and Ora Lee Butler and passed away Nov. 21, 2013, at his residence in Burnet, Texas.
He is survived by his daughter Lynn and husband Mickey Winkler; son Brenard “Benny” Butler; and daughter Lanette and husband Billy Lough, all of Burnet; and son Kenneth “Kenny” and wife Michelle Butler of Buchanan Dam. Eugene also is survived by half-sister, Jacqui Kaup of Missouri; sister-in-law Gerry Butler of Oregon; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Eugene was preceded in death by his wife, Annette Butler; brothers, Bernard and Clyde Butler; and sister, Marie Zimmerman.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, sports, Texas Hold’em, playing games, dominoes, cooking and mowing — anything that included family and friends being brought together.
A funeral service is 2 p.m. Nov. 24 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 306 Texas 29 East in Burnet, (512) 76-2222. Pallbearers are David Cook, Darrell Crain, Billy Cook, Kenneth Butler, Tony Wooten and Billy Lough. Honorary pallbearer is Howard Cooper. Burial will follow at Post Mountain Cemetery in Burnet.
