Marylyn Martin, 71, was born Oct. 29, 1942, in Abilene, Texas, to H.N. and Mary Turner. She passed away Nov. 19, 2013. She was the first of five children.

She married Dr. B.J. Martin on July 3, 1970. He preceded her in death on Sept. 12, 2010.

She is survived by her mother, Mary Turner of Kingsland; and four siblings, Monty “Buddy” Turner and wife Cathy, Steve Turner and wife Cindy, all of Kingsland, Candy Whitman and husband Mark of Bedford and Lucretia Crenwelge and husband Curtis of Salado. Marylyn also is survived by many nieces and nephews; two stepsons, Sid Martin and wife Deborah and Bill Martin and wife Carolyn; as well as many step-nieces and step-nephews.

Marylyn received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in religious education from Hardin-Simmons University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, respectively.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Marble Falls since her relocation from Pasadena, Texas, where her husband was pastor of South Main Baptist Church for 26 years.

Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Nov. 24 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 1805 U.S. 281 North in Marble Falls, (830) 693-4373. A funeral service is 9:30 a.m. Nov. 25 at First Baptist Church of Marble Falls.
