Work crews finished assembling a 250,000-gallon water-storage tank Aug. 27 on the grounds of Meadowlakes City Hall. Bulldog Steel Products of Clyde is contracting with the city for the construction of the ground-level tank, which is expected to be in operation in November or December. The cost of the entire water-tank project, including installation and other equipment, is estimated at $445,000. The city currently has two storage receptacles — an elevated 200,000-gallon water tank located in the heart of the bedroom community and an existing 250,000-gallon ground-level water tank on City Hall property.
