The spring production of the Fredericksburg Theater Company opens April 12, with the comedy play Moonlight & Magnolias. The production is rated PG-13 for the language used. It runs through April 28.

Moonlight & Magnolias tells the story of Hollywood producer David O. Selznick who decides three weeks into shooting “Gone With the Wind” that the script isn’t working. He fires his director, then locks himself, Victor Fleming (who was busy on the Wizard of Oz at the time) and script doctor Ben Hecht into his office for five days. Eating only peanuts and bananas, they act out the novel on their way to making movie history.

If you’re looking for a great theatrical experience, head to Fredericksburg April 12-28 for Moonlight & Magnolias. Tickets are $20 for adults and $5.50 for youth 18 and under. You can visit the website or call (830) 997-3588 to purchase tickets in advance.
