Camp Peniel offers horseback riding as part of its activities for groups or has programs that allow youth to ride horses owned by the facility. Call (800) 848-1731 or go to www.camppeniel.org.
If you have your own horse, several of the Lower Colorado River Authority parks have horseback riding trails, such as the one at Shaffer Bend Recreational Area east of Marble Falls off RR 1431 on CR 343A. Go to www.lcra.org.
