LEANDER — The Marble Falls High School softball team lost 11-0 to Leander in six innings March 26.

With the loss, the Lady Mustangs and Leander Rouse are now tied for fourth in District 25-4A standings.

Marble Falls had one hit compared to Leander’s eight but suffered four errors that led to six unearned runs.

“We can’t win games like that,” Marble Falls head coach Tino Salazar said. “You could feel us let it go, let it slip away. That’s concerning, more so than the errors.”

Once the game wrapped up, Salazar said he challenged his players.

“They have a choice,” he recalled saying. “To come to work with a commitment to save the season. If you don’t want to commit, then let’s get your schedule changed. I told them to go home and think about that and on the bus ride home.”
